		<description>For modern African literature, you might consider one of Armah&#039;s books.  The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born is probably Ayi Kwei Armah&#039;s most famous novel, but both Why Are We So Blest? and Fragments are also excellent comments on post-Colonial Africa.</description>
