I am not sure if I've been able to make this connection as a speaker of 5 languages. I do not have mastery of all 5, which is common in multi-linguals. However, it does affect my choice of words and sentence structure at times. But, might it be possible to think in similar ways as a speaker who has mastery of either language without sharing the same similar cultural backgrounds? Very interesting!
